Red Cedar School is a Vermont Recognized
K – 12 independent school. We are currently accepting applications
for students at the elementary and middle school levels.
We weigh the following considerations
in our decision to admit a student to the school: the motivation of
the student to learn and take responsibility for him or herself within
the school’s setting, the appropriateness of our program in meeting
the child’s needs, the support of the child’s parents for the philosophy
and curriculum of the school, and the fit between the student and the
rest of the class group.
We accept students who are age five or
older, or who will turn five by September 1st of the year
they are entering.
Applications received by March 1st
will be given first consideration. We consider applications after this
date on a space available basis. We accept transfer students mid-year
if there are openings.
Red Cedar School welcomes students of
any race, gender, sexual orientation, color, creed, religion, class,
national or ethnic origin. All students are accorded the rights, privileges,
programs and activities generally made available to students at the
school. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender,
sexual orientation, color, creed, religion, class, national or ethnic
origin in the administration of its educational policies, scholarship
programs, athletic programs or other school-administered programs.
