Campus and Resources

Red Cedar is located in an agricultural valley just north of the village of Bristol, along theHogback mountain ridge. The school is based in a large house that includes classroomsand common areas, and has open views to the surrounding landscape. Resources includea library, kitchen, science lab, art studio, and networked, online computers. The two-acre campus includes a playing field forsports and games, play structures, a garden, and an outdoor classroom with a barn, chickens, yurt and cob oven. The campus is bordered by open farmland and forest, and iswithin easy access of natural wilderness and cultural resources.

The school draws students from throughout Addison County, as well as from Chittenden,Rutland and Washington counties. The school offers a bus service to Chittenden Countyand northern Addison County.
