Campus and Resources
Red Cedar is located in an agricultural valley just north of the village of Bristol, along the Hogback mountain ridge.
The school is based in a large house that includes classrooms and common areas, and has open views to the surrounding landscape. Resources include a networked, online computer lab, library, kitchen, science lab, and art studio equipment including pottery kiln and wheel. The two acre campus includes a playing field for sports and games, play structures, garden, outdoor classroom workshop and cob oven. The campus is bordered by both open farmland and forest, and is within easy access of natural wilderness as well as area cultural resources.
The school draws students from throughout Addison County, as well as from Chittenden, Rutland and Washington counties. Public transportation is provided from Middlebury and carpooling is available from most communities.
